Here's a little something different

My fascination with skies continues. Normally I don't post pictures that don't belong to me but when George sent me these I just had to share. These pics were taken by Tom in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. Tom has kindly given me permission to post these here for all to enjoy. Thank you Tom! And thank you George for asking! Now I really want to go see the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis as it is known here in the Netherlands. I don't fancy the cold up there but for magic like this I am more than willing to make the sacrifice.

Some people keep diaries...

I take pics. Sunsets have become an obsession of sorts. I call it my winter project but I know it is not a project for only one season. I can't wait to see what the other seasons have to offer and find out how the light changes in the sunset skies.

The search continues...

I am still searching for the perfect sunset. I know it's out there somewhere. These were taken on my way back home from Susan in Nijmegen.

Shucks.....

...ducks

I had hoped...

The gulls would do a diving scene like the diving scenes in an Esther Williams movie but no. Still glad they sat there, lined up nicely for me to take their pic.

Some say it's dull

I say it's fascinating. Skies like these remind me of paintings by the old masters.

They say...

Every cloud has a silver lining, but if you're lucky, once in a while it is gold.
